NON SYNCHROMESH / SYNCHROMESH GEAR BOX
Courses provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to pass the VicRoads Heavy Combination Licence endorsement test.
C.I.T.S. provides Heavy Combination Courses in vehicles with non synchromesh gear boxes, ensuring the learner can then go on to drive any Heavy Combination vehicle or lower with no restrictions following course completion. C.I.T.S. can also provide training in vehicles with a synchromesh gearbox, however students who do not already hold a HR Non Synchro licence will have a “B” restriction which only allows the driver to operate vehicles with a synchromesh/auto shift gearbox. If the students already holds a HR Non Synchro licence they can do the training in a synchromesh vehicle with no restrictions placed on their final licence endorsement.

Eligibility
Participants must have held their Medium or Heavy Rigid Drivers licence for a minimum of one year
Course duration
Course duration will depend on students prior experience and skill level. The following is to be used as a guide only.
- Non -Synchromesh 1½ – 2 days
- Synchromesh / Auto 1 – 1½ days
Course costs
- 1 Day sessions $1800
- ½ day sessions $900 ea
Full day sessions are run between 8am and 5pm. Clients will have a 1 hour lunch break.
Half day sessions are run either between 8am – 12noon or 1pm – 5pm.
